Peace Etiquette & Property Rules

Whether you're here to move, reflect, connect, or simply rest, Peace Retreat offers a welcoming environment to slow down and return to what matters. As a shared retreat space, we ask everyone to be considerate of one another and our natural surroundings. These guidelines help create a comfortable, respectful, and restorative experience for all.

Arrival, Departure & Guest Luggage

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM.

Early Arrivals & Late Departures

While early check-in and late check-out cannot be guaranteed, we'll do our best to accommodate requests. Guests arriving early or departing late are welcome to enjoy our shared spaces, pool, and grounds.

Luggage Storage

If your room isn't ready when you arrive or you have a later departure, luggage storage is available at the front desk.

Shared Spaces & Consideration

Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Peace Retreat is a shared, open-air environment where sound travels easily. Please keep voices and noise levels low in rooms, walkways, and common areas during quiet hours so everyone can enjoy a restful night.

Yoga Spaces & Maloca

Our movement and gathering spaces are dedicated to yoga, meditation, ceremony, and reflection. Please remove your shoes before entering and return all props to their designated storage areas after use.

Open-Air Living

Please use headphones when listening to music, watching videos, or taking calls in shared spaces.

Mindful Consumption

Peace Retreat is a wellness-focused environment. Guests may enjoy beer or wine purchased at Nourish at Peace Cafe or stored in the guest refrigerator. We ask that alcohol consumption in shared spaces remains mindful and respectful of others.

Nourish at Peace Cafe

Cafe Hours

Breakfast is served at 8:30 AM and dinner at 6:30 PM. Our à la carte cafe menu is available from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Scheduled Meal Times

Group meals are served at scheduled times to support fresh preparation, attentive service, and a shared dining experience.

Dietary Needs

Our kitchen accommodates registered dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and food allergies. Guests attending a group retreat should communicate their dietary needs to their retreat host, who will share this information with our team. Guests booking directly with Peace Retreat should communicate their dietary needs to us before arrival. We do our best to consider individual food preferences, although specific requests cannot always be guaranteed.

Eco-Mindfulness & Facilities

Eco-Septic System

Please do not flush toilet paper or personal hygiene products. Place these items in the disposal bins provided to help protect our septic system.

Energy Conservation

Please turn off lights, ceiling fans, and air conditioning when leaving your room.

In-Room Towels

Bath towels are provided for use in your room and at the pool. Please do not take them off property. After visiting the beach or participating in a ceremony, rinse off at one of our outdoor showers before entering the pool or returning to your room.

Food & Wildlife Protection

To avoid attracting insects and wildlife, please do not store or consume food in guest rooms or cabinas. Personal food and snacks should be kept in the shared guest refrigerator.

Payments & Tipping

Bring Cash (USD)

Please bring US dollars in cash for excursions, ceremonies, and gratuities. You may also settle your remaining guest bill in cash. All published prices include applicable taxes, regardless of payment method.

Gratuity Guidelines

Gratuities for our on-site staff are pooled and shared among our kitchen, housekeeping, and maintenance teams. Tipping is voluntary but sincerely appreciated. A suggested amount is $10–$15 USD per guest, per day. Spa therapists, drivers, and excursion guides may be tipped directly.

Credit/Debit Card Payments

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. American Express is not accepted. Credit and debit card payments are subject to a 2.5% processing fee.

Spa, Ceremonies & Excursions

Arrival Times

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled spa treatment, ceremony, or excursion. For spa appointments, meet at the front desk. For ceremonies and excursions, confirm your meeting point with the front desk or your retreat leader.

Cash Payments

Excursions, ceremonies, and gratuities are payable in USD cash. Spa treatments may be added to your guest bill and paid by cash or an accepted credit or debit card.

Cancellation Policy

For services booked directly through Peace Retreat, cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled service incur a 50% fee. No-shows and missed appointments or activities are charged in full.

Preparing for Your Experience

Whether you're joining a Yoni Steam, surf lesson, or Sweat Lodge Ceremony, please review the relevant menu information or speak with our team beforehand. A little preparation helps you arrive informed, comfortable, and ready to participate.
