How do I get from Liberia airport to Peace Retreat?
Peace Retreat is approximately an hour and 15 minutes from Liberia airport by car. We offer shuttle service as part of most retreat packages or this service can be added on to your trip for $110/ride.
How far away is the beach?
Walk down through the quaint town of Playa Negra to arrive at the beach in approximately 25-30 minutes. Or drive by car/taxi in to get there in 5.
Do you have air conditioning?
Our new Jungle Bungalows are equipped with air conditioning. The rest of our accommodations are designed to utilize natural air flow and are equipped with ceiling fans.
Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?
We can accommodate most dietary preferences, with the exception of meat-heavy diets. Most of our meals are plant-based, and most everything can be made gluten free or vegan. Please communicate your preferences in advance.
Do I need to schedule my retreat with a group or can I book a solo stay at Peace Retreat?
All of our retreat package options listed on our website are created for one traveler. We host a combination of groups and solo guests all year round. It's likely that you'll overlap your stay with other groups and individuals/couples on their own retreat packages.
Do I need to book my spa, ceremonies and excursions in advance?
Though not required, it's recommended that you request any add-on experiences in advance. We can usually accommodate spa and excursion requests at the time of arrival, however ceremonies require planning/preparation and are therefore not as easy to coordinate last minute. To ensure you have the experience you desire, please communicate your wants and needs to us as early as possible.
What styles of yoga can I expect to experience at Peace Retreat?
Yoga at Peace Retreat is taught by our own staff as well as group retreat leaders that may be teaching during your stay. Classes are traditionally therapeutic-informed and may include elements of hatha, kundalini, vinyassa, and restorative yoga. No previous experience is required; most guests are beginner-intermediate level.
