Guest Planning and Logistics
Can retreat participants arrive early or stay after the retreat?
Yes! We’re happy to host your guests before or after your retreat dates.
Please email date requests to operations@peaceretreatcostarica.com with their preferred arrival and departure dates. Extra nights will be billed directly to guests, along with airport transportation if needed. While we do our best to keep guests in the same accommodation throughout their stay, early arrivals and late departures are subject to availability.
Where can I find photos and details about accommodations?
​Photos and descriptions of our accommodations are available on our website and are also included in this Host at Peace Portal.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We can accommodate most dietary needs, except for the keto diet (as we are primarily plant-based).
Please list all guest dietary restrictions through the Remote Registration. Current menus are available on our Guest Portal.
Is the tap water safe to drink?
Yes. Most tap water in this region of Costa Rica is safe to drink.
We also have a filtration system on-site, and guests are welcome to drink and refill water bottles from any tap on the property.
How far is Playa Negra and the beach?
We are about a 15-minute walk to Playa Negra town. The beach is another 10 to 15 minutes beyond the town.
Experiences & Activities
Where can I find spa, excursion, and ceremony menus with prices?
All menus—including spa treatments, excursions, ceremonies, dining, and wellness sessions—are available on our Guest Portal.
We encourage you to share this link with your guests ahead of time. Guest requests can be submitted via Remote Registration.
Should I organize excursions or ceremonies for my group?
Many retreat leaders choose to include excursions or ceremonies as part of their retreat. In these cases, you would handle payment for your group. Guests can also book additional experiences directly with us.

We strongly encourage advance booking for excursions and ceremonies to secure availability.

Should I ask guests in advance about booking other activities?
Yes, we recommend sharing our menus (found on the Guest Portal) with guests ahead of time.
This helps us prepare accordingly. Guests’ choices can be submitted through Remote Registration.
Yoga & Wellness
Do you provide yoga mats and props?
Yes, we provide yoga mats, blocks, blankets, bolsters, and straps.
We do, however, recommend that guests bring their own yoga mats if possible, due to the jungle climate and ocean air.
We also offer our Mats for Merch Exchange Program
Mats for Merch Exchange: Trade in your gently used yoga mat for a credit toward select merchandise in our on-site store. A simple way to lighten your load and take home something special.
I’m not a yoga teacher—can you provide yoga classes for my group?
Yes! We have experienced yoga instructors on-site who can teach classes for your retreat.
To arrange this, please email your request and retreat dates to operations@peaceretreatcostarica.com in advance so we can schedule accordingly.
Do you provide beach towels?
We do not provide beach towels, but we sell Turkish towels (lightweight and quick-drying) and sarongs in our on-site store (subject to availability).

What payment methods do you accept?

Please note:

A 13% Costa Rica hotel tax applies to all credit card payments.

We offer a 5% discount on this tax for USD cash payments.

Ceremonies and excursions must be paid in cash.
